Gary Salter was the second guest speakers to do a talk to my course this year. He is an advertising photographer who has managed to keep his head well above the water during what is a very bleak moment in the world of photography due to the financial climate the world has gone through. This was due to two things other that his advertising campaigns he had produced before the financial crash. First is that his portfolio not only shows his commissioned work but his personal work, some of which are the photographs in this post and secondly he is venturing into using video on his shoots now too. It was a great talk and look into the world of advertising photography and also a look at what we will have to start doing to get to a professional level even slightly close to Gary's.
