Website Update

Yesterday I updated my website, dropping a project, adding one or two new photographs and added some text to support my work. In about three or four weeks from now there will be another series of work added that I am currently shooting, so keep your eyes out for that.

Home Entertainment

These are a few photographs from my latest series looking at performers in the world of home entertainment. I have always been interested in who the people are under the outfits they wear, as many people only know them by their stage name and by how they act when they become a performer. Each one of these four people have a fantastic story of why they became an entertainer as well as why they are based in the South East of England. I will be continuing this series over the next few months, getting entertainers from all over the industry.

Lydia and Gemma

This is a test shoot for a project I am doing for my final major this year. Here I have photographed students who have a part-time job to help them pay for bills and day to day living during their stay at University. I wanted the lighting in the studio to be very simple as I did not want to take away from the clothing and the people them selves. I did this because I feel that everyone changes when they in their work cloths and find this concept very interesting.

Freddie

This week I decided to get back in the studio for the first time in over a year, one because my studio skills need dusting off and two because I wanted to try something new and different to my normal photographic approach. I wanted to try and light the full body with a minimum amount of shadow cast. I also wanted to give the hase One P30+ back on a Hasselblad a go to get a feel for it. Over all I am happy with what I achieved but its not the look I wanted, I am in the studio again next Wednesday so will be having another go, as well as shooting someone other than a mate from my course.

Louis and Fire Bin

This was shot that I took during December of my house mate burning a few things in the fire bin. There is no meaning behind it or thought, I just shot it as I liked the contrast of the green surroundings with the reds and browns of the fire bin, with a hint of winter coming from the frost on the grass.

I have not been out in a while with my Bronica, so maybe it is time I went out with the old boy and got some lovely 6x6 shots again. Keep a look out for new work to come over the coming months.
